This issue has a piece about this year’s Mustard Sensei UK tour and even mentions us. Also in there are Adam and Les from Shaun’s dojo at the World Championships.
In October 2011, Meikyokai Aikido invited Mustard Shihan to the UK to run a limited numbers gasshuku over two weekends in Barnstaple and Preston. In all forty people had the chance to feel the ‘Vancouver experience’ of Mustard Sensei teaching as he does in his own dojo. This unique training was captured on film and is a great resource for anyone interested in Yoshinkan Aikido or Aikido in general.
Our training dates for the Christmas and New Year period are as follows:
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
Last night, Genryukan Dojo had the pleasure of training with Shaun Hoddy Sensei (6th Dan) and Andy Wisbey Sensei (3rd Dan) , from Shoshinkan Schools of Traditional Tomiki Aikido. Shaun Hoddy is also the head of our association: ZETAR
Shaun took the class through the Jo sections of the Koryu Dai San: Jo Dori and Jo no Tsukai.
The 2 hours went by very fast and everybody really enjoyed the session.
A big thank you to Shaun and Andy for coming all the way down from Essex, and for being so patient and helpful during practice.
You can check YouTube videos below, containing Shaun Hoddy Sensei demonstrating those sections:
