Genryukan Aikido

South of the River 2015

sotr2015The success of the recent South of the River Seminar, hosted by Genryukan Aikido, means that we were able to make an excellent donation to our supported charity SAGA Charitable Trust.

To all those who helped with the seminar, the instructors, mat movers, those who attended the weekend and very kindly donated to the charity, we would like to thank you for your generosity. We would also like to express our gratitude to the British Aikido Association for their extremely generous donation.

Sarah Jenner of SCT responded “Your donation is enough to give 180 school pupils in Kenya a bag of flour – each bag provides twelve meals for a family of four – food they would not otherwise be able to afford. Huge, huge thanks to you as always for supporting us and to everyone who got involved in making donations”

SOTRGenryukan Aikido is honoured to be hosting the 2015 South Of the River Aikido Seminar.

Thankfully this year we again have the wonderful sea views from our venue, the fantastic SAGA Pavilion in Folkestone, and have an exciting programme of Aikido scheduled for the weekend. We are hoping the weekend ticket will provide everyone with amazing value for money. It is an open event, so all are welcome.Continue reading“South Of The River seminar 2015”

SOTR 2014

Great weekend with brilliant instructors and a good turnout.

Big thank you to Shaun Hoddy, Simon Fraser, Bob Jones, Ken Broome and John Burn. We had a nice variety of styles and approaches which was very interesting.

Also well done Phil Eyers for organising the event.

Finally, thank you to all the attendees who trained diligently and in a good atmosphere
