Monday 21st May 2012 – Mick Pratt, Randori no kata ura waza
We were very fortunate that Mick Pratt was down last night, and he kindly took the class for a detailed look at the Randori no kata ura waza, kaishi waza or “counters to basic kata” from our syllabus.

Shaun Hoddy Sensei at Genryukan
Last night, Genryukan Dojo had the pleasure of training with Shaun Hoddy Sensei (6th Dan) and Andy Wisbey Sensei (3rd Dan) , from Shoshinkan Schools of Traditional Tomiki Aikido. Shaun Hoddy is also the head of our association: ZETAR
Shaun took the class through the Jo sections of the Koryu Dai San: Jo Dori and Jo no Tsukai.
The 2 hours went by very fast and everybody really enjoyed the session.
A big thank you to Shaun and Andy for coming all the way down from Essex, and for being so patient and helpful during practice.
